Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey
on the job harassment by supervisor
I have been at my job for over 30 years. One of my supervisors has continued to pursue a policy of harassment and intimidation for over 3 years for personal reasons. What can I do?

First, report it to his supervisor in writing. Keep a copy of your written report. Second, consult your employee handbook. If there's no employee handbook, ask for one. If these do not correct the problem, then call our offices.

Ideally, you should seek a consultation with an employment attorney. You can get a referral to one by going here: http://www.nelanj.org/ It is also important to review any anti-harassment policies that are contained in your company's employee hanndbook and consider using the complaint procedure.
