loss of unemploment funds 2 months after receiving

i filed for unemployment due to my employer telling me he would call me when he needed me. i started receving checks about $1,900.00 worth when 2 months later i get a letter that they had to talk to me about the reason for discharge from employer. in the end they said because i told my employer he was a lier during a disagrement that is grounds for me not to recevie funds from the state and they want the money payed back to them... what is your legal advice. i am thinking of appealing and would love to hear your advice thanks Luann

File for the appeal and tell the truth, which sounds like you believed that you were layed off in the absence of any kind of formal dismissal or reprimand. If you wish to be represented, call my colleague, Jane Herchenroder, Esq., in Somerville, at 908-231-9222.

Good luck,

Ralph Soukis
