Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

I am in management. Our laborers union contract expires shortly. Can I legally refuse to renegotiate & simply do away with the union?

No. You are required to negotiate in good faith. /p/ See also: http://info.corbettlaw.net/lawguru.htm

I, would advise against it. I agree with my colleague, you must negotiate in good faith.

Why would you want to get rid of the union anyway?
