Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey
Non Compete violation
Hello, I am a consultant working on a contract for last 12months. My employer (A) has a contract with B who in-turn has contract with C. C is doing the job for the client D(government). C wants to hire me and B has no problem. I may or may not end up working for C's contract with D. I've a non compete with my employer A which states, for the 12months after leaving A, I should not be working directly for the client or any other compnay in between in the contract. What are my choices?

Re: Non Compete violation
1. Get a release of the non-compete term from your current employer; or
2. Ignore the contract and take the chance that you current employer will sue both you and your new employer.
