Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey
Are non-compete's binding?
I signed a non-compete when i was hired. I am now offered a job with a client of ours. If i take the job, can my company come after me with a lawsuit?

Re: Are non-compete's binding?
The short answer is, you are bound by the terms of the contract, which I would have to see in order to make a professional judgment. Notwithstanding that pertinent observation, if the client you would be working for is not a competitor of your current employer, it does not sound likely that by jumping ship you would be in violation of the clause in question.
