Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

Privacy Contracts

If I sign a contract when I take a job that I will not work for competitors for 2 years upon leaving or give over any info or contact any customers of mine, and they fire me, do I have to honor the contract?

Re: Privacy Contracts

Probably so. Sometimes such contracts are not enforceable for a variety of reasons. However, you should not count on being able to get out of a contract at some later date. If you sign it, there is a good chance that you will either have to live by it or spend a lot to try to set it aside, or both.
