Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey
My question involves how far a policy can include past work-time behavior. My Boss chose to fire me after implementing a policy that involved only 1 chance for messing up/being late on a project. I was only ever informed of this policy when I was fired, and my first time being late on a project occurred a year ago. I Never had any documented warning or was told that being late or messing up on a project would involve me being fired.

In NJ you can be fired for any or no reason as long as it is not a breach of an employment contract, race, age, disability, nationality or gender.
