Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey
I received a letter from my previous employeers husband suing me for $13,000. It states that I ordered items from staple and took them home(did not steal anything from the office) also payroll that was ok'd by the doctor herself. I refuse to answer texts from him do to a pending sexual harrassment suit against him and his wifes practice. He has not been severed with the papers as of yet . the last text I received from him in aug. stated he would make things hard for me. The paper stated I needed to be in court on September 15th .

You should respond to the summons by filing what is known as an "Answer." But I would strongly suggest that you seeking the assistance of an attorney specializing in employment law. Please feel free to contact my office or any other employment law attorney on this website.
You need a lawyer. You really need a lawyer. If you do not get on this right away, then he may get a court judgment against you for the whole amount he asked for. Do not let this happen.
