Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

I have recently been laid off and required to sign a termination agreement which I did so. My ex-employer is now asking for full repayment of some money they loaned me 2 years ago. No repayment schedule was ever agreed nor was it mentioned in the separation agreement. Do I have to pay them back? Can they now void the signed separation agreement and not pay me my severance?
