Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

Recieved Civil Action Summon

Recd summon from my employer stating Breach of Contract,Tortious Interference,Breach of Duty of Good Faith and Fair Dealing, Unjust enrichment,Misrepresentation and Fraud... Accusing me of breaking my contract with the Client which is entirely a false allegation, as I have completed my project with client and have proof of the same.... My empolyer is a consulting company and I am working for him on H1B visa, how should i proceed with this lawsuit,,, i have proof of wh4 violations that he has committed that is no pay during bench period, no health insurance paid for 4 months and withholding last month pay....

If i have to fight back should i need to personally go and file my written answer or motion OR can I post it to court, as i cannot afford a lawyer is there any alternative for it? Or Should I approach the Dept of Labor?

Your help is greatly appreciated

Re: Recieved Civil Action Summon

You will have to retain private counsel. You say you have no money, but you will REALLY have no money if you do not properly defend this lawsuit with retained counsel. I say this because if you try to defend this yourself, you will likely have default judgment entered against you for the full amount that they are claiming in what appears to be a civil complaint against you. They can then attach your wages and levy upon your possessions.

So the good news is that if you REALLY have no money now, then you are essentially judgment proof...they will just take your assets and bring you to zero.
