Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey
What's the statue of limitations on a possible ex employee law case? I worked for an Automobile dealers enterprise of 4 dealerships and 9 franchises for over a 17 year period. I had a tremendous amount of responsibility. Some of my duties -general manager/ finance director/ customer relations manager and wore all of these hats every day. I took a couple of months off because of a being I'll from a rare genetic disease. This August will be 3 years since I stopped working. I was finally approved for disability 3 months ago. They wouldn't allow me back. I was not treated fairly and I feel I deserve some compensation. What could be considered fair?

There are many types of "employment law" claims--- each with their own limitation period... NJ Law Against Discrimination - 2 years for a civil suit, 180 days for Div. Civil Rights complaint; breach of contract - 6 years; Title VII of the federal CRA, ADA, EDEA - 180/300 days for an EEOC complaint; and others.
