Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

substituting paid for mileage shorting pay

My employer lowered pay of some employees including me from 10/hour to 7/hour and pay the additional three dollars under (mileage) while paying other employees 10 without mileage. Is this legal? Also I worked a lot of hours and didn't get paid for at least 7 or more on several pay periods because they have a mileage And truncated the extra hours. Is this legal?

That doesn't sound proper. Try calling the Wage and Hours Compliance office at the NJ Dept of Labor. They will probably help you. If not, ask again.
