Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

Trouble getting Hired

Let me begin, I am 46 years old, I have 2 Masters Degrees in Engineering, graduated with both high GPAs which I Worked extremely hard to earn, also solely financing my way through night school (NJIT).

I have years of work experience, because I worked F/T and went to School P/T.

I have been working off and on lately, but I am under the suspicion that maybe I am being Black Listed or possibly Discriminated against when I apply for positions.

I have applied to every company I can within my travel distance, and I never get a response. I also apply to jobs in another field, but no avail. You know whats the joke about it? One of my degrees is Biomedical Engineering, which to this day, I have never worked in this field, and I graduated in 1996 ? Go Figure !

Whats going on ? Please let me know what I should do ? I know your not an Employment agency, but I feel something is definitely wrong. Should I perhaps, find someone to investigate my situation ? For whatever the reason is, Am I possibly being; Slandered, My Age, Defamation, or Discrimination, should I hire an Employment Lawyer ?

I guess my General Question is? How do I know this ? or, How do I find out ?

Re: Trouble getting Hired

You may want to employ a private investigator to help you assess whether anyone who might be contacted by a prospective employer is poisoning the well. If so, take the findings to a lawyer to determine if you have a cause of action.
