Is a verbal and email employment acceptance binding?

I accepted a job offer verbally and in an email. I did not send the signed the job offer letter yet. What constitutes a binding contract in New Jersey?

Even if you signed an employment agreement, it is likely that you can refuse to work under it. I have not reviewed the contract, but generally you cannot be MADE to work. You may be liable for damages or under a noncompete, however.
