As a waitrees in a country club, is my manager allowed to take part of the gratuity from parties?

That does not sound right, and it certainly is a lousy thing to do. Call me if you want me to put you in touch with a friend of mine who represent employees who have been mistreated by employers. He is very, very good and tough.
