i was at work on august 5,2009, and i was working as usualy when i heard my shoulder pop it was the end of my shift, but i told my manger about it she was going to fill out a acciendent report out , but she never did. when she didnt belive me she laught at me and walk away. i went to the er that day and gave her anote stated that i had to go go the doctor before i retured to work. i waited and waited. then i didnit go to the doctor then i was still waiting to go then i told my boss i wanted vacation times.then i tll waiting togo then they salped a letter at me stating that i was not at my job then i got fired. can they do this to me.

In addition to the workers compensation claim mentioned in the previous answer, you may have a claim for wrongful termination in violation of public policy (commonly referred to as a Pierce claim). An employer cannot fire you for simply suffering a workers compensation injury. Often employers will claim to have fired you under another pretext. You should speak with an attorney to fully protect your rights.
