Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

i work for a local municipality. I was injured on the job. The doctor declared me MMI and workers comp closed my case. I have a restriction of lifting up to 35 pounds . My employer states that if this restriction is permanent they will not be able to accommodate me. If they terminate me do I have any rights from preventing this, also the biggest is my health benefits??
