Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

Working on sundays

My comapany wants us to work on sundays and told us we don't get paid for it. This is against the law even if they are a private owned company right?

If you are a management, professional, or other exempt employee, the employer has a lot of latitude regarding your hours and schedule. If you are a non-exempt employee, your employer must pay you overtime for all hours in excess of 40 worked in a week.
