Legal Question in Employment Law in New Jersey

Yesterday was the last draw to me putting up with my job. We had a company meeting where I was insulted, discriminated and yellled at by a coworker. This coworker yelled and insulted me in front of the two bosses who were sitting at the meeting and never spoke or addressed the foul language tours me.

I felt discriminated, I felt incompetent and incapable. I had a sense of hopelessness as I sat there and heard this individual insult my intelligence and my dedication to the company. I felt so belittled....a feeling I never felt in 18 years of working experience. I sent them an email yesterday letting them know how I felt and that I needed a temporary emotional leave of absence. My nerves are bad and my anxiety levels are chronic due to the nature of this company. What can I do please advice.

You are doing what I would advice a client to do: make a record. Ask management -via email- to assure you that they will do what it takes to address your concerns about an objectively hostile working environment and see an attorney for specific advice. Best wishes.
