Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey
I have no apartment.
I was recently apartment hunting when i came across a 2 bedroom apt for seven hundred dollars. I thought it was a steal until the super of the building stole my money and wouldnt let me move in and also moved another person in. Mind you that all of my belongings were all ready in the apartment when he removed everything and put it in storage to move someone else in. The apartment was found through a management company so i called them and they told me they would give me my money back and also give us another apartment. They called me back yesterday and told me that the apartment was rented to another couple and the super didnt tell them about it. So they said they had another apartment, I called them today and said we couldnt have the apt because its a one bedroom. Im very upset, is there anything i can do?

Re: I have no apartment.
It is not clear what the best course for you will be. You should get your money back, obviously. If you and the landlord signed a lease, you might be able to sue the landlord.
