Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey
Cigarette smoke seeps into my apartment
Mr. Moore, thanks for your quick reply. This is a Passaic County residence. Heavy smokers moved in downstairs, and smoke seeps into my apartment. Am I due a rent abatement due to 1) Cigarette smoke is toxic per surgeon general 2) Cigarette smoke knows no boundries 3) The only other witness I have is my 13 year old daughter who lives part time with me and can testify (I don't have many other visitors).
What proof should I have for the judge that can help my case?
