Re: Being evicted

If you are not a tenant then you are a trespaser, having been asked to leave by the owner. You might consider trying to stay where you are by working out an agreement whereby you pay something less than what it would cause you to rent an apartment for your and your children.

Secondly, you need to file a nonsupport complaint against your children's father to obtain some money to pay that rent you are going to have to pay.

Another thought is that your former boyfriend might prefer letting you and the children stay on the premises in place of a substantial portion of the child support he should be paying,

You can file a nonsupport complaint without an attorney by going to the county courthouse and going to the Family Part. They have forms which you can complete and then THEY will prepare a non

support complaint for you and serve it upon the father.
