Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey

if my girlfriend and i moved in to my mothers house on a verbal contract and have paid my mother over two thousand dollars for room and board and pay her cell phone bill, cable, internet, and house phone bill as agreed in the verbal contract as well as her telling us we can live here until we find a place and work can she evict us without any notice legally.

Your contract is unenforceable because it falls within the types of contracts that must be evidenced by some writing. However, if you paid anything for rental of the premises, you are a tenant and cannot be evicted except by a court officer after a hearing.
