I live in an illegal apartment.. What are my rights ans can she just kick me out. I live in New Brunswick NJ

If you are forced to move because the code officials require it, the landlord must pay you six months rent five days before you move without regard to your security deposit. If the landlord is attempting to make you move because the apartment is illegal, you are entitled to damages based on the time remaining on the lease. You cannot be evicted without a court hearing.
