Can the landlord charge my security deposit for wear and tear on carpeting after having same carpet for approximately fifteen years and the cleaning of the stove?

This is a common issue. The landlord cannot recover damages for ordinary wear an tear on carpeting or anything else. It is only damage that is out of the ordinary that is compensible.
