Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey
Can landlord sell house during lease?
I moved a month ago and the landlord is now planning to sell the house. Would the lease automatically be transferred and would the new owner have the right to evict after giving a notice?

Re: Can landlord sell house during lease?
The answer is: it depends. If the new owner wants to move in and live in the house, you may be out. If the new owner is going to continue renting it, then you are probably going to be able to stay. If you really run into a problem and you need a lawyer, give me a call. I will be happy to discuss this with you; the telephone consultation will be free.
