Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey

Lanlord & Tenant

Hi, I have a tenant who has a woman living with him in violation of the lease. I just sent him a notic to cease, and he is to respond by registered mail. He claims he will not respond to the letter because the woman living there has her own house an only comes by to give visit. How do I prove what the truth is. Can I call the police to verify his statement? Thank you

Re: Lanlord & Tenant

Owning a house has nothing to do with whether she is living with him. I would say that if you stays overnight more than twice a week, gets her mail at his apartment, she lives with him. if she owns a car

just take a photograph of the rear of the car or front of her car, showing the car's license plate, with a camera which shows the date and the time, for a week and that is your proof. You can probably rent such a camera, as opposed to buying one.

Call me if you like.
