Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey

lease still valid if landlord is deceased?

My uncle recently passed away. His home (currently under lease until 2004) was left to a family member who would like

to sell it. Since the lease was entered into when my uncle was still alive and serving as ''landlord'' is the lease still considered ''valid'' until the end of it's term?

Thank you.

Yes. The new owner will take subject to the lease, barring any fraud in the lease execution.
