Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey

I live in NJ and I was recently served eviction papers for not paying the rent I came home from work today and found the papers under my door the thing is I did pay the rent I mailed the money order on the 30th of April when I got it I contacted moneygram and they told me I had to pay 15 dollars and wait 20 days so they can locate the money order I'm nervous because my court date is the 7th and I have no idea what to do I wish the building management office would've called me and said they didn't get the rent I always send my payments in by the first
