Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey
living situation question
i have been living in an apartment with my girlfriend (now ex) for over 3 months and she would like me to move out. this is no problem, but i do not have a place to go until feb 1st. the apartment is in her name only. i thought that there was a law that stated if you live in someones place with their consent for a certain amount of time, they have to give you some notice before they can kick you out. all the furniture in the house is mine also, so i cant see her being able to kick me out until i have a place for all my stuff. any answers would be appreciated greatly... please contact via email or leave a message and i will call you back asap. thanks!

No, she really is not well advised to try to throw you out. Perhaps a sharp little discussion between her and her lawyer, if any, and you and your lawyer may help.
