Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey
I'm a month to month tenant. My landlord wants to increase the rent and wants me to sign a new lease for 6-12 months. I don't want to sign the new lease because, I have to relocate in 1-2 months. But, I'm willing to pay the increased rent. Is it possible for the landlord to file an eviction if I don't sign the lease even though I'm paying the increased rent?
