NJ Condominium Fees

Does a condo Tresurer have a right to request a fee from the association for services each month?

yes. the treasurer is giving time and effort. however, this depends on the bylaws, which must allow the position to be paid; all the bylaws that I draw allow the treasurer to be paid. a lawyer could look at the bylaws and tell you very quickly, yes or no.

Bylaws of the association govern. If the fee is provided in the bylaws it is lawful. If it is not provided for in the bylaws I would think that the request for a fee is questionable because the association membership must usually approve disbursements of

it's funds.
