Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey
I just renewed my lease in New Jersey for a year but the lease does not start until June 2013. I am taking a new job in Michigan, so my question, is there a penalty for breaking a lease if I am moving for a new job in another state?

If you signed the lease, you are bound. That having been said you might try talking with your LL about releasing you from the extension.
