Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey

I rented a illegal apt out and the tenants were aware that it was illegal. Now they have called in the inspectors because we asked them to move out after alot of illegal activities . sucha s smiking pot in the house and having company making alot of noise where it desturbs the other tenants.I need to get them out ecause they said the inspector told them not to pay any rent anymore and am being told that i now have to pay them 6 x the rent to relocated them, althought they were aware of what they were renting out. What can i do?

sue them for money damages now and also serve them with the required notice to Quit with Demand for possession of the premises. Then file your action for eviction upon expiration of the notice. Pray that you don't get a municipal court summons in the interim. We do these cases EVERY DAY!
