Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey
Hello I am currently selling my business , when I opened 5 years ago , I spent over 300k on the landlords
Building in renovations , in turn I received a 30 year lease with taxes included in my rent
Now that I am selling the land lord Is saying he will not assign my lease(states in lease its assignable and can not be unreasonably withheld) unless I pay him 18,000 and buyer gives him 30,000
If we give him a check and sign the back under protest!
Can we sue him after we close on business?

I think its much better to get a lawyer now and try to handle this now. It will likely be cheaper and easier. Call me at 1-855-9-JEFLAW to discuss
