Tenant death in rental property

How to evacuate tenant possession after their death in rental property. No crimial charges natural death. tenant estate is taking long to evacuate and hand over the key also not paying rent

Your most important action is to ensure that there is a claim against the estate for the value of the unexpired term plus the unpaid rent. You might not get that all, but you should make the claim.

The eviction is routine. That can be done in the same way that any other eviction is done except that you are almost guaranteed to have an issue with abandoned property.

You must comply with the NJ Abandoned Property Act by sending the appropriate notice after you have recovered legal possession of the premises.
