Tenant vs.landlord

Can a tenant break his lease if the tenant finds out that the landlord

has done construction and electrical

work in the same building without

any building permits or electrical

permits. This is a commercial building.

If by doing the additional construction, the landlord is creating a hazardous condition, a tenant may be able to either get a cease and desist order, or in the alternative, terminate the tenancy.
