Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Jersey

Tenent to Landlord

There are 3 apartments and I found out that I am sharing my water heater with the basement apartment and I am paying there half of the water bill. I am also paying the inside hallway, garage and outside lights on my electric bill. For the past year I have been paying this. I sent a letter that I am moving out on 4/30/07. This was not disclosed on my lease agreement. What can I do?

Re: Tenent to Landlord

One option would be to file a complaint in small claims court (depending on the amount) to recover the amount of money that you pent "unjustly enriching" the other tenants/landlord.

I would need more information to give you a more definitive answer. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to discuss this further.
