Legal Question in Legal Ethics in New Jersey
I have a case against a big corporation and the attorney that is representing me in this case is also representing me in my divorce. My husbands attorney filed a motion to have my attorney withdraw as counsel because it's a conflict of interest. Where is the conflict? The business is not in my husband's name and if he is entitled to any part of the settlement it will be a percentage of my share.
My attorney is afraid of an ethics complaint. Furthermore, my husband's attorney contacted the attorney for the adversary in the corporate case and had a lengthy conversation with him. According to her sworn certification, the adversary attorney gave her private information about the case. Did the adversary attorney violate any ethics law by gving information about me to my husband's attorney?

It seems that your attorney is facing a pretty brutal adversary in the divorce case. Time to fight back, hard.
Your lawyer needs to analyze the ethics problem, and make sure that he does not have a problem.
Confidential information about you given to your adversary in an unrelated lawsuit? Like I said, time to fight back, hard. Does your lawyer need a hand to deal with all of this?
