lawyer threw case out due to fraud and deceit

can a case where a lawyer screws up and never contacts me about the stats of the case and then he gets disbared for his actions be reopened, or charges brought up in a new case involving a defective commercial vehicle. i lost my truck, business, business credit, personal credit, marrage, and children to a large extent due to this lawyers actions. cant find anyone who can help, thanks

You may wish to consider filing a claim with the Virginia State Bar's Client Protection Fund which may be able to partially compensate you for at least some of your losses. (See www.vsb.org.)
