Legal Question in Legal Ethics in New Jersey
Do we still have to pay?
the lawyer we hired to do an agreement of sale did not tell us it is ususally the seller's responsibility. We have paid over $2100 to him and he is requesting an additional $800 for breaking the contract he wrote. We spoke to another attorney in reference to said agreement and were advised as to how we could get our deposit back from the seller. I wrote to the lawyer we hired, stating what the other attorney had said and received our deposit back in one day after he contacted the seller's attorney with the info I sent my lawyer. Is he entitled to the additional charges of $800?

Re: Do we still have to pay?
You have too many attorneys. You are also almost always better off having your attorney draft the agreement.
Suggest you stop complaining and pay for the services that you contracted for.
