Recklessness and lack of professional integrity, and misguided judgment

A Doctor of a major Hospital writes a letter on official stationary. The doctor categorically states that I raped my wife, forced her into sexual acts against her will. That I had beaten her abused her and neglected my beloved son. The author of the letter and his superiors have been informed via certified mail, that everything stated in his letter is false, unfounded, and baseless. This letter circulated to initiate care-giving services and generate other claims that. The actions by the author of this letter in my opinion were reckless and a lack of professional integrity, misguided in judgment. I believe this is gross misuse of the Doctors office and it appears to be a fraud and a abuse of the HealthCare System of NJ. Can you please advise or direct me. Again I state I have written there legal department twice both with certified mail stating I am waiting for a formal meeting to resolve, till this date no correspondence from the legal department other than a email and voice mail message. I can prove legitimately that all that is stated in the letter is a lie, and I am not talking about some technicality. This letter is completely bogus and the Hospital and the author of the letter should be liable.

You should contact a personal injury lawyer in your area. You seem to state a claim for what we call "defamation" in Louisiana, which encompasses the common law libel and slander. You will get better results with an attorney than dealing yourself with the hospital. Also, it sounds like s state hospital so you might wish to inquire of the attorney you consult whether there are special immunities to suit enacted in your state against suit for such entities.
