Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New Jersey

Approximately two years ago my GI doctor ordered a small bowel series. The testing came back negative in 2010. In 10/2012, I had begun having sharp pain in my left hip. I was diagnosis by my orthopedic doctor with a torn labrum, and a bone spur on my femoral neck and on the acetabular rim known as femoroacetabular impingement syndrome. I sought out a second opinion on 01/2013 from another orthopedic surgeon. He had informed me that the bone spur (FAI), had caused my labrum tear. He recommended before surgery, physical therapy and medication, which did not help.

Furthermore, I requested my GI doctors notes to see if FAI was mention anywhere. He notes a small bowel series, and under impressions states what seems to be muscular skeleton? (Hard to read his hand writing). Now I will be undergoing an exploratory arthroscopy of my hip with debridement of the torn labrum.

The question is do I have a case? Damage to the labrum and articular cartilage will lead to future arthritis.
