Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New Jersey

wrongful hysterectomy

I received a radical hysterectomy due to the dr. puncturing my uterus and letting an infection in of strepptococcus and e-coli during a uterine biopsy. This was done after he knew I had an infection in my fallopian tube. Would the court consider this a reasonable risk? I almost lost my life, so much followed this. The statue may be against me, because the actual event happened 1/05 - but I didn't actually find out what happened to me till a trusted dr. told me last year.

You need to call malpractice attorneys ASAP to see if you can find one who is willing to look into an exception to the Statute of Limitations.

There is a �discovery rule� exception that occasionally extends the two years you are allowed to sue (and 90 days for notification under the �Tort Claims Act� if there is an affiliation with UMDNJ).

My felling is that your time to investigate a possible claim started to run when you became ill after the procedure. Another attorney may feel differently, so I urge you to contact attorneys immediately if you believe you may have a claim.
