Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

Asphalt burning

I wanted to know of any past suits involving 2nd and 3rd degree burns to the feet of a minor. My son stepped off the curb as he was crossing the street (bare footed) and he sunk in the un-rooled 370 degree asphalt, removing most of the skin from both feet.

Thank You

Re: Asphalt burning

Thank you for your inquiry.

Regarding suits against the government, it is extremely important that you have an attorney file a Notice of Claim within 90 days from the date of the accident. Otherwise, you may be barred from pursuing a claim. Furthermore, it is during the discovery phase of a law suit that we can determine whether any such incidents have occurred before.

It would be my pleasure to speak to you about your potential law suit. Accordingly, please feel free to contact my office at 732 246 0909 to discuss further.

Very truly yours,

Re: Asphalt burning

I do know of some cases involving severe burns from asphalt. Verdicts/settlements in such a case depend on a lot of factors, i.e. severity of burns, etc. If you haven't already consulted with an attorney, you should do so immediately as there may time limits in which you can sue certain parties.
