Re: Awarded judgement recovery

A judgment rendered in April 2006 should have been paid a long time ago. You really need to obtain more information on what is going on (or hire an attorney to obtain that information). Was there an appeal of the judgment? While you don't specify it in your question, usually attorneys take these type of cases on contingency. If so, your attorney would not have gotten paid either. Something doesn't seem right and you need to inquire into this further. Feel free to contact me should you wish to discuss this further.

it sounds as if the defendant was not insured. You need to take the deposition of the defendant and determine the availabiliyt of assets.

Re: Awarded judgement recovery

you write that your father was very seriously injured. judgment was entered in April 2006, no payment yet nine months later.

and the present attorney is no longer a help? what does that mean?

all i can suggest is that you find an attorney near you who handles personal injury and ask the attorney to find out what is going on and assist you. be prepared to pay the attorney for his/her time. you need some answers, and there is no way to tell what is going on from what you wrote.

good luck to you and your father. it does sound like something is not going at all correctly.
