Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

broke back in gym

Hi broke my back in the NYSC gym. Was squatting weight and they had the type of rack with no safety bars just hooks foward the weights, no one on floor to help. I fell foward and broke back. Any case or laws for gyms in NJ?

That's a tough case. You will surely get "something" but getting a good amount may be a problem unless you can get some good facts on your side. You need a good lawyer. I'd have to refer you to one, so feel free to call me.

It really depends on the specific facts. It's likely that when you signed on to join this gym that you signed a waiver. However, if they were actively negligent, or if there was some hidden danger which you would not have seen on your own, there may be a case. Feel free to call our offices to discuss.
