I was in a bus accident in 2004. Has the statute of limitations passed?

Re: Bus Accident

Typically, the statute of limitations is 2 years in NJ. However, there a limited number of circumstances whih will extend this. If it has not been two years, the simple answer is no. If it has been more than two years, you may want to determine if you fall into some of the rare exceptions.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss the situtaion. Best wishes.

Re: Bus Accident

it depends upon a nember of things. In particular, were you injured as a result of the bus drivers negligence or was it due to another. Is the bus owned by a State County or other Municpality.

In general an adult has two years to sue. However, when a State entity such as above is the at fault party, there are notice limitations. You must contact attorney to have you rights explained
