Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

If my car was stolen then was involved in a hit and run. Am I liable for that hit and run. And what if I left my keys in the car?

It is a motor vehicle offense to leave your keys in the ignition of your unlocked, unattended car.

It creates a duty of care which could be the basis of suing you for negligent entrustment.
