Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey
I have a college student working for me for the summer watching my children. She drives them to various activities. Yesterday, driving my daughter to a play date, she had an accident in her own car.
She has auto insurance.
Are we liable in any way and could we be sued.
The accident may have been her fault. Not sure.

Your homeowner's insurance policy may provide worker's compensation coverage for a temporary employee. Check your policy. Her car insurance is supposed to provide medical coverage for her injuries. If she caused the accident she has no lawsuit for her injuries.
You definitely could be held liable in theory, because the student was acting as your agent. The thing is, liability could be contested by your respective attorneys, so you should both check your policy AND talk to an attorney right away.
